Adrian Goleby is a Photographer, Cinematographer, Video Editor, Guitar Teacher and Musician from the beautiful city of Brisbane, Australia. His attention to detail in the flow and rhythm of videos has developed his reputation as one of the most prolific up and coming film makers in Brisbane.

Playing music from the age of 9, Adrian has had experience performing and working with other musicians for almost two decades. His proficiency in guitar has extended beyond one instrument and has developed understanding of many other types of instruments – allowing for fresh perspectives and a sense of kinship when working within the music industry at every level. Adrian has shared stages with artists such as Paul Gilbert (Mr Big, USA), Guttermouth (USA), Anathema (UK) and a vast stable of extremely competent Australian musicians.

Video was a hobby gone wild for Adrian. He started with the notion of trying something that wasn’t a Music Degree. Leading him to attend JMC University in South Brisbane and achieving a Diploma of Film and Television Production. A simple purchase of a Canon 7D and a Go pro was enough to jog the idea of filming a few friend’s bands, when noticing that a lot of YouTube videos were just filmed on phones and didn’t portray the artists in a favourable light. That first video went live on the 20th of June 2013, since then Adrian has worked on in excess of 60 music videos for artists such as Devin Townsend (Canada), Anathema (UK), Tesseract (UK), Balkan Beat Box (Israel), The Ocean (Germany), Caligula’s Horse (Australia), Twelve Foot Ninja (Australia) as well as many, many more home grown artists.

Adrian endeavours to show the international music industry the unbelievable amount of talent from Brisbane and all over Australia. With a strong passion and talent for showing artists in their most powerful and most peaceful moments, his style invokes adrenaline and sincerity in the portrayal of a subject.

In between projects Adrian spends his time as a guitar teacher. After spending 6 years at Learn Music studios in Birkdale and Victoria Point, he worked his way up to manager and eventually departed to pursue other ventures. He keeps teaching regularly from home and has taught students from ages 5 to 75 from all walks of life and music taste.

Adrian has taught guitar for the last 7 years. Ranging from acoustic to jazz, he has a penchant for explanations that can communicate to all walks of life and musical experience. Adrian was the manager for Bayside based Learn Music for 2 years and ran monthly performance classes for students to get a taste for the stage.

His students have become proficient and experienced in many ways since then, some attend university for music degrees and others have become touring musicians and even teachers themselves.

Starting music at the age of 8, Adrian taught himself saxophone to an intermediate level and swapped to guitar at the beginning of high school. His own playing has granted him tours of Australia and audiences of over two-thousand people.

With a wealth of experience in many, many styles as well as being proficient at Bass guitar, Adrian can help with any dilemma you might experience in your playing.
